Online Booking FAQs
How does the online booking work?
Our online booking system allows you to book your piercing in advance. Once you sign in, you can choose the piercing you want, which store and what time you’d like your piercing, and you will pre-fill some details to save time at your appointment. Then, you’ll pay a deposit to secure your booking. Upon a successful booking, you’ll receive a QR code via email. You will need this to be checked in for your appointment when you arrive. Just show the store assistant your QR code, and they will do the rest. It’s as easy as that!
What piercings can I book online?
Whilst we offer a whole range of piercings in our store, only some are available to book online. You can book ear, nose, oral and face piercings online, but we do not offer booking for microdermals, skin diver, nipples, genitals or smiley piercings. If you’re after one of these piercings, it’s best to contact the store directly to discuss the best time to visit. Contact the store here.
How do I choose the jewellery I want?
Once you’ve been checked in at the store, you can discuss with the store assistant the jewellery you would like for your piercing. Please be aware that stock levels vary in store.
How much do piercings cost?
When booking a piercing appointment, you might be wondering how much it will cost. So, how much is it to get ears pierced at Blue Banana? And is it more or less expensive than a body piercing? How does the deposit work?
When you’ve filled out the booking form, you will need to pay a £5 deposit to secure your booking. When you arrive at the store and get checked in for your appointment, you will need to pay the price of your piercing as well as your jewellery (and aftercare if you choose it). The deposit is then deducted from your in-store payment.
What's going to happen at my piercing appointment?
Once you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be asked to give your details. Depending on the piercing, you may need to provide proof of identity. You’ll then be taken into the piercing studio, where one of our trained piercers will begin the piercing process. Our experienced piercers are there to help; they will talk you through the whole process and answer any questions you may have. Once you’ve been pierced, they will also discuss piercing aftercare with you and help you pick out the perfect body piercing jewellery. If you leave the appointment and think of more questions, don’t worry- you can book a follow-up consultation at any time, or contact our customer services team here.
What if I can’t make the appointment? Can I cancel or rearrange the booking?
If you can’t make your appointment or if you change your mind, then no need to worry. You can easily reschedule your appointment for another day or cancel it entirely. Please note that if you do cancel your appointment, you will lose your deposit. You can reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before your time slot.

Do I need to bring a parent or guardian to the appointment?
Many people are curious about piercing age restrictions- how old do you have to be to get a nose piercing? What piercings can you get at 13? You can call your local Blue Banana store with any questions, or simply check out our age limits for body piercings here. Some of our piercings are available from the age of 8 with parental consent, while other body piercings require proof of ID. Make sure that you’ve checked the age requirements when booking your appointment.
